A Typical Day
Walking Holidays in Catalonia
Every one of our walking holiday groups is different. Some like to stroll and take lots of photos, whilst others like to walk at a slightly faster pace. With this in mind, it's difficult to describe a typical day with any measure of authority. However, the schedule below is how we intend a typical day to run in terms of timings.
8.45am - Breakfast is taken in the accommodation dining room
10.00am - We try to leave the accommodation by no later than 10.00am if possible. Sometimes the walk starts from the hotel, but on most days, we take a coach to the beginning of the walk.
11.30am - We stop for mid morning tea/coffee and biscuits. These are normally served from the back of the backup vehicle that traces the route.
1.30-2.00pm - Either towards the end or at the end of the walk, we stop and enjoy our packed lunch.
3.30pm - At the end of our day's activities, we are picked up by coach and taken back to our accommodation. This is normally a journey of less than 30 minutes and, when we arrive back at the hotel, the rest of the afternoon is free time.
8.00pm - Supper is taken at around 8.30pm in the evening, but weather allowing, we start to gather on the main house terrace for a pre meal drink if required.
