Your Walking Holiday Guides

 


  Hello, my name is John Devine and I'll be your co guide and host during your
  walking holiday in Catalonia. I've been guiding walking holidays on the Balearic
  island of Menorca for over 8 years now and know pretty much every blade
  of grass on the island.

  For our Catalonian walking experience, I was looking for someone that knew
  this area in the same way that I know Menorca. In whatever we do and
  wherever we do it, it's important to us that we retain the same level of service
  that we do on Menorca. Luckily, we found our man.





I will be guiding alongside Jordi Oliva, who is the leading guide in the area.
He is both well known and liked by the local community and has been
walking in the Catalonian hills since childhood. As a native Catalan, he is
totally immersed in the local community and full of interesting information
about the area in which he guides. He also has the added advantage of
being the owner of the accommodation in which we stay. As a lad, his
uncle worked as a waiter there and it was always a dream of Jordi's to
own it one day.

Jordi is a sympathetic guide and real team player. In a previous life he
represented Spain at hockey in the Seul and Los Angeles Olympics and
has also managed the national hockey team. He speaks good English and
loves to share his local knowledge with our walking holiday groups.
